Our first adventure to South Dakota

We just got back from your first visit to South Dakota.  We had a whirlwind time, baptizing you in the church your daddy grew up in, visiting all kinds of family and friends, and playing tourist in the beautiful black hills.  For your baptism your Great Aunt Lynn, Great Uncle Dave, Great Uncle Dick, cousin Kate, Uncle Jason and Meaghan came from my side of the family.  Of course all your dad's family came, including Nana, Papa, Yaya, Papou, Aunt Danielle, Karsyn, Aubrie, and your great Aunts and Uncles.  Your baptism was at St. John's Orthodox Church and performed by Father Tom.  It was a beautiful ceremony and you were such a GOOD baby.  You smiled and giggled the whole time.  My favorite moment was when you had to turn and face the congregation, I don't think you realized how many people where there, you looked around and then smiled from ear to ear.  It was a very special moment and you had the entire church giggling at you :)  My second favorite part was that you had to be naked until you were baptized...I didn't realize how many cute baby rolls you had :)  After the ceremony we had a big family dinner and then the next day a big BBQ.  You got passed around all the family at both events, but hands down your biggest fan was your Great Uncle Dick. 

The rest of the trip was spent with your dad's family and visiting all our friends.  We did manage to sneak off to the hills and take in some sites.  Everywhere we went everyone commented about what a happy and smiley baby you are.  Mommy and daddy defintely hit the jackpot with you :)  You were even an angel on all the plane rides...playing peak-a-boo with other passengers and snoozing.  Just a couple pictures of our adventures!
