Six Months!

You are six months.  You love blowing raspberries, sitting all by yourself, anything with tags, grabbing faces, splashing in the tub, and playing with your toys.  And you are constantly in motion, making these monthly photo shoots more challenging :)

You are my everything

This morning I fell while carrying you up our stairs. I managed to hang onto you while we fell to the ground, but you still landed on the hardwood on your shoulder and chin.  I instantly scooped you up, at first you were startled, then your pain cry started. It was at that moment that I lost it. I instantly started sobbing, which probably made you even more scared. But I couldn't help myself, I was sick at the thought that I might have hurt you :( I called daddy's emergency work phone and through my sobs shouted "I dropped the baby, I need you!"  Daddy instantly left work, where they were running a big statewide exercise, and hopped in his work truck.  He drove home with sirens and found us in your nursery. You had stopped crying and smiled when he walked in, but I was still sobbing.  After checking your pupils, inspecting you, and making you follow his finger with your eyes, we determined that you were ok.  You were more than fine, laughing and giggling, but I was still a wreck.  Daddy headed back to work. You ate and went about your day (with me constantly hovering over you, checking on you).

Today I was honestly the most terrified I have ever been in my life.  Today was the day I truly realized you are my everything. I will not always be perfect, I will make mistakes, but I will always love you more than I can ever express. You are my baby girl, my sunshine, my bug.

When Daddy is Away the Girls Will Play

Daddy went on a 4 day business trip this week and left us girls at home.  Mommy was a little worried about 4 days alone, but with the help of Miss. Kristen we had a fantastic time.  You and Kristen even went to the pool and you wore your itty bitty red ruffled bikini that Daddy doesn't approve of :)

Our first adventure to South Dakota

We just got back from your first visit to South Dakota.  We had a whirlwind time, baptizing you in the church your daddy grew up in, visiting all kinds of family and friends, and playing tourist in the beautiful black hills.  For your baptism your Great Aunt Lynn, Great Uncle Dave, Great Uncle Dick, cousin Kate, Uncle Jason and Meaghan came from my side of the family.  Of course all your dad's family came, including Nana, Papa, Yaya, Papou, Aunt Danielle, Karsyn, Aubrie, and your great Aunts and Uncles.  Your baptism was at St. John's Orthodox Church and performed by Father Tom.  It was a beautiful ceremony and you were such a GOOD baby.  You smiled and giggled the whole time.  My favorite moment was when you had to turn and face the congregation, I don't think you realized how many people where there, you looked around and then smiled from ear to ear.  It was a very special moment and you had the entire church giggling at you :)  My second favorite part was that you had to be naked until you were baptized...I didn't realize how many cute baby rolls you had :)  After the ceremony we had a big family dinner and then the next day a big BBQ.  You got passed around all the family at both events, but hands down your biggest fan was your Great Uncle Dick. 

The rest of the trip was spent with your dad's family and visiting all our friends.  We did manage to sneak off to the hills and take in some sites.  Everywhere we went everyone commented about what a happy and smiley baby you are.  Mommy and daddy defintely hit the jackpot with you :)  You were even an angel on all the plane rides...playing peak-a-boo with other passengers and snoozing.  Just a couple pictures of our adventures!

The best part about our new house is the pool! You weren't so sure about the cold water, but you warmed up to it :)
