Big girl bed

for the last 4 days you have been consistently going potty in the big girl potty and we have been talking a lot about being a big girl...so last night your dad and I moved your twin bed (your big girl bed) into your room.  You were VERY excited about it, but when it came time for bedtime you were a little apprehensive.  After no less than 10 trips up to your room, to go potty and for extra snuggles, you fell asleep.  You just cried once in the night, because you had to go potty.  But all in all you did an amazing job with this transition! And you woke up this morning with a completely dry diaper!! Mommy and daddy are so proud of you!

April 2016

sometimes your cuteness stops me in my tracks, I am truly grateful to be your momma!

Also, the cutest thing you have said recently is "papasicle" and "popopsicle"  You think your favorite snack shares the name of your beloved grandpas :)

Black Hills hiking trip

You rode on mommy and daddies back up the side of a mountain while eating Cheetos, you loved it :)

twinkle twinkle little stars

You sing constantly, especially in the car. Most of the time the songs are not recognizable, sometimes I can pick out words. But tonight I got serenaded with twinkle twinkle little star. We can thank Miss Kristen for singing to you as a baby, she used to sing this to you everyday at nap time :)

The reason we moved to South Dakota...

You, "Auntie Donnell", Aubrie, and Karsyn. I absolutely love love love the way you say Danielle, I hope it never stops. Although I know it will because you no longer say "wawer" (water) or "Mimi" (Mandi)

Your first time ice skating

You are adjusting well to being a South Dakota girl, but alas you hated ice skating.  But you did love the ice cream treat afterward 😊

You are a binkie kid no more!

So we cleared a minor hurdle this past weekend...just before nap time you told Daddy to throw away all your "binkies". So Daddy took all of them and hid them and told you they were all thrown away, your response, "ok, daddy!" So nap time rolls around you ask for a "binkie?" Daddy told you they were all gone and you said, "ok daddy!" After asking for it a couple more times and being told they were "all gone because Ellie told daddy to throw them away and she will just have to take a nap without one" you went to sleep in your crib.... Daddy proclaimed VICTORY! This was Saturday, and it is now Wednesday, you haven't had a binkie since and have only asked for it twice.  Winning!

Our goal was to have the pacifier gone by the time you turned 2, which is only a few weeks away. You are ahead of the game, my little advanced lady!  Speaking of advanced, everyone thinks you are one smart cookie because you know your A,B,Cs and can count to 13 (well 1 through 8, then 11, then 13).

Love you kiddo, weird to think of your as a kid now, not a baby...
