Ellie has been practicing very hard and she is ready for baby Virginia's arrival.

The stomach flu and unconditional love

This evening after changing your clothes for probably the 9th time you looked up at me with tired eyes and said "mommy I love you so much, you are the best mommy in the whole wide world." I needed to hear those words so badly after a night and day of you having the stomach flu. I needed to hear that after a sleepless night of holding you hair while you were sick, after 6 loads of laundry, after working an entire day on 3 hours of sleep, and all the while being a single mommy while daddy was out of town. And when I heard those words I immediately started crying,  you looked at me and started singing twinkle, twinkle little star. Because that is what I sing you when you are sad. My heart is full of love even on the night of the most perfectly unperfect day. You are best kid in the whole wide world and I would relive this day 100 times over just to hear those words from you again. Love you so much bug!

You are going to be a big sister

You have known for over a month now, but just so its documented...you are going to be a big sister :)

You are SOOO excited about this and will often talk to the baby in mommy's belly and have even tried to see/look at the baby through mommy's belly button a couple times.  You also insist that you are going to be the baby's mommy and that I will be big sister :)
